Funding and Research Program.
MiniSwap Funding and Research Program aims to recognise and support world-class academic projects pursuing cutting-edge research in areas of mutual interest. We put our focus on university faculty. We are also happy to consider proposals from non-established early career faculty (including postdocs) and PhD students.
Standard R&D program
Each funding support is up to $20,000 USD. We are currently interested in the topics associated to:
- Decentralised applications (such as lending, derivatives, options, etc.);
- Market makers and price oracles;
- Cross-ledger communications.
Exceptional Program
Outstanding proposals with well justified costing and research impact can be negotiated on a case by case basis. There is no limitation on the research topic or the total amount of funding support.
Proposal Submission and Review Process
Step 1
Submit your application to Lab@MiniSwap.org. The subject should be formatted to “[Type of funding] Institution-Lead CI”. For example, Satoshi Nakamoto from Bitcoin University (BTCU) applying for a standard R&D program should use the subject of [Standard]-BTCU- Satoshi Nakamoto.
Step 2
We will discuss all funding proposals at the first week of each month. We may contact you if there are parts of your proposal that needs further clarification.
Step 3
If your proposal is successful, then we will follow up with you through email.
